We'll be exploring the parks on the Jersey Shore over the course of 2 days, hitting 4 on our first day in 2 different towns.
The first town we'll be visiting is Seaside Heights, and the first park will be Funtown.
Most of the parks on the shore are small parks owned by small companies, often family run. I love Coney Island, NY and it's "small scale" atmosphere, so I think I'll really enjoying soaking in the atmosphere of these parks.
Funland Pier is one of the smaller of the parks we're visiting with one small looping rollercoaster and under 50 rides.
RIDES WE MUST RIDE
Loop Roller Coaster - The roller coaster clearly wins the award for "most functional name." It does, in fact, loop. Unfortunately it also has OTSRs. Oh well, it'll be fun anyway. I've also read that this coaster is unique to it's kind in America in that it's a Galaxy that loops.
Great Wheel - This is a very old ferris wheel of indeterminate age which is sitting snugly right next to the beach. Ahh... always nice to cuddle with your girlie in a Ferris Wheel on the beach...
RIDES WE MAY RIDE
Haunted Manor - I'm always curious and willing to enter a haunted house. :)
Tower of Fear - An S&S Space Shot ride that costs $8(??!). This is a bit pricey and as I've been on these before I'll likely pass. But you never know...
Go Karts - Depending on what they look like, we may take a spin on the Go Karts.
Bumper Cars - If there's time for bumper cars, I'm bumping!
Carousel Fun Center - One RRC'er says that there's a great eighties time warp arcade here. I RAWKED the arcades in the eighties! (and no, um... I'm not a big dork...COUGH)
