Clarisse’s Park Comments: This park is primarily a waterpark and arcade that happens to have a coaster. The water park was closed when we got there so I have no opinion of it. The arcade was kind of crappy. It was small, and they didn’t have ddr! They did have a few classic games that I wanted to play though. One arcade game that they had there was cute, it was a racing game (one of those roll the ball and your figure advances game) the figures were of Barbie and Ken on surfboards or jet skis or something. We have pictures of it, but they’re mildly inaccessible at the moment. They’re change or token machine wasn’t working and we would have had to ask the ticket girl, so we didn’t play anything.
I appreciated the lackadaisical ride op, playing acoustic guitar on the platform. Each ride ticket gave riders 2 rides, but the ride op just asked people if they wanted to stay on, which was really cool.

Mike’s Park Comments: I don’t have much to say about this park. We swung by on our way to New Orleans thanks to a suggestion by an enthusiast on a newsgroup, and we got to get another wood coaster under our belt for comparison. The park doesn’t offer much outside the coaster, and the biggest problem is the park offers no POP plan at all; making it a fairly expensive proposition to do… anything. Basically, the park didn’t offer us anything to do more then we did, which was to ride the coaster 4 times. Riding the coaster 2 times costs $5, another 2 another $5. So we dropped $20 and split.

Comments: There isn’t much notable about the coaster. It isn’t that high. And the back seat gives ok airtime. Whee! They need to oil the wheels or track or something to make the coaster quieter. Maybe that will also help the ricketyness around the turns.

Comments: A fairly unexceptional wood coaster with about 2 good hills and a truly horrid turnaround. Considering the condition of the screeching, very unpleasant turnaround, and considering the coaster was only built in 1995, I think it’s fair to say the park isn’t taking very good care of this coaster. The return is an ok amount of fun, not that exciting, but ok.
If this was my local coaster, I’d be happy enough, until I found out it cost $5 for 2 rides (in the same seat) with no discount or POP.
